MetroLink Ticket Violations in St. Louis - for as little as $40

Most Metrolink Violations Can Be Handled for $40

If you have traveled in the City of St. Louis, there is a decent chance you have taken a ride on one of the city’s public forms of transportation. The two most recognizable would the MetroLink (which is the light-rail tram system) and MetroBus (which is of course the bus line). Both are integral parts of the city, and have proven to be very useful for the residents of St. Louis.

Only $40 to Handle Your Metrolink Violations

But since about 2009, the city has begun to crack down on certain violations that users commit with regularity. Examples of this would be:

  • No ticket (or inability to show that one had been purchased)
  • Ticket not validated
  • Time-expired ticket
  • Altered fare
  • Expired or invalid college/employee ID or pass
  • Invalid student ticket
  • Prohibited conduct (general peace disturbance)
  • Public drunkenness
  • Eating on train or bus
  • Drinking on train or bus

By far the most frequently issued citation is for not having a ticket to ride. This type of violation is typically charged as “using an expired ticket,” or “failure to pay fare.”

Our goal in such a situation is to work closely with the city prosecutor to get the citation/ticket “fixed” so that it is either thrown out or reduced. For instance, if a fare inspector cites you for not being able to show a valid pass while you are on the Metro, the prosecutor is usually willing to recommend to the judge that the charge be thrown out so long as you are able to produce a current and valid pass. Either way, it is far better to hire an experienced attorney to handle this kind of matter for you. If you do not address the citation, or if you do not attend the court hearing that will be set in front of the judge, then you could end up making your situation far worse.

The St. Louis MetroLink lawyers at The Bankruptcy Company, have been helping people with their city citations for many years. Our goal is to get the ticket reduced to something minor, or thrown out altogether. Either way, we want to make sure that you are able to continue riding the Metro in the future.

I contacted The Bankruptcy Company for a speeding ticket. The service they provided was excellent and affordable. After emailing them a copy of the ticket, they they took care of everything else. I have referred several friends there, and they all have had the same experience. I highly recommend them. Ann Schrodt

I've used this firm twice, both for speeding tickets. Both times it was zero hassle: just a matter of giving them the ticket. I've also recommended them to my friends, who have had the same experience. (My friends and I speed a lot.) Highly recommended. I'm sure I'll be back. David Rieken
